Serie A soccer giants AC Milan have agreed a deal for content from their in-house television channel to feature on sports streaming subscription service DAZN in Italy.
The agreement, which was confirmed by DAZN, will see the (over-the-top) OTT platform show a range of content from the top-flight Italian club’s Milan TV, including training sessions, press conferences, highlights and interviews.
The tie-up sees AC Milan join Inter on DAZN after their city rivals agreed a deal in September to have content from Inter TV included on the service.
The deal further bolsters DAZN’s soccer offering in Italy, where it has exclusive rights to 114 Serie A matches per season until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Incidentally, the Milan derby between AC Milan and Inter earlier in the season was the most watched game ever on DAZN’s Italian service, on a weekend when the platform registered more than three million viewed hours of streaming.
AC Milan are 11th in Serie A and travel to top of the table Juventus in their next fixture on Sunday.
