Reigning Argentinian soccer champions Boca Juniors have teamed up with music streaming platform Spotify.
The move will see the Primera División club create a Spotify playlist that translates to ‘Way to the Bombonera’, with the idea being that fans listen to the series of songs on their way to the team’s 49,000-seater home.
In addition, each of the team’s players have compiled their own playlist for supporters to listen to.
The deal marks Spotify’s first partnership with an Argentinian soccer team, although the platform does already hold a partnership with Brazilian side Sao Paulo FC.
Elsewhere in Argentinian soccer, Boca’s arch-rivals River Plate are set to sign a significant sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines, according to reports in Turkey.
The agreement would see the Turkey’s national flag carrier replace banking group BBVA as the shirt sponsor of the reigning Copa Libertadores champions.
