Tottenham Hotspur soccer player Dele Alli has become an ambassador for gaming headset brand HyperX.
The two-year deal sees the Premier League midfielder join a number of sporting personalities as HyperX ambassadors, including the National Football League’s (NFL) JuJu Smith-Schuster and the National Basketball League’s (NBA) Gordon Hayward and Joel Embiid.
An avid gamer, Alli has nearly 120,000 followers on social gaming site Twitch which HyperX will look to leverage. The company plans to feature Alli in its marketing campaigns from next year.
Speaking of his new deal, Alli said: “I am very excited to become a HyperX ambassador. I love their products and have been using them for a while now. Becoming an ambassador was the next logical step – it made perfect sense. I’m looking forward to working with them in the future.”
HyperX vice-president Paul Leaman added: “With Dele Alli already using our award-winning products on his stream, it was a natural fit for us to work together. We are very excited to welcome him to the HyperX family.”
Alli, 22, was recently named 21st on SportsPro’s 50 Most Marketable athletes for 2018, with the HyperX contract adding to an endorsement portfolio that includes Adidas, Boohoo and Lynx.
On the field, Alli’s Tottenham Hotspur have started their Premier League season with six wins out of eight, sitting in fifth place going into next week’s international break.
