FPF adds new league in extended Sportradar deal

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has added Liga Reveleção, its new under-23 soccer division, in an extended partnership with Sportradar to protect its leagues and representatives from betting related match-fixing.

Portugal’s governing body already enlists Sportradar Integrity Services to monitor the third-tier soccer division Campeonato de Portugal, as well as the first and second rounds of the Taça de Portugal, and also the Liga Sportzone Futsal division.

As part of a three-year extension, the Liga Reveleção will benefit from Sportradar’s integrity services in the FPF’s third year since partnering with the sports data company.

“Our relationship with the FPF in the last three years has demonstrated its continued commitment to the integrity of Portuguese football,” said Andreas Krannich, executive director for Sportradar Integrity Services.

“We are happy to extend this partnership, which now includes the monitoring of games for the new under-23 competition, the Liga Reveleção.”

In September 2017, a deal was struck between La Liga, Spanish soccer’s top flight, and Liga Portugal, the country’s representing body for professional soccer leagues, signed a deal to share respective knowledge across sectors, including match-fixing, integrity, and stadium security.
