LAFC’s Banc of California Stadium gets new VR app

Banc of California Stadium, home of Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Los Angeles FC, has revealed a new virtual reality (VR) mobile app.

The virtual portal, Banc of California Stadium VR, was developed and is powered by LA-based developer ROK360. The app is an extension of the virtual reality system built prior to the completion of the stadium and allows for LAFC fans and other customers to explore spaces within Banc of California Stadium from anywhere in the world.

Covering the pitch to the premium club spaces, users can select different camera angles to help visualise the various uses for each space using VR.

The soccer-specific Banc of California Stadium, leased by LAFC from the University of Southern California, opened in April 2018 and has already hosted high-profile matches, including a fixture from Borussia Dortmund’s summer tour.
