The National Basketball Association (NBA) has extended its sports betting portfolio in Europe by making French gambling platform ParionsSport an associate partner of the its inaugural Paris game on 20th January.
The deal comes a year after the NBA made Française des Jeux (FDJ), France’s national lottery operator, its first European gambling partner. ParionsSport, an FDJ sports brand, will present in-stadium fan experiences and also manage prize offerings via social media.
NBA Paris Game 2020 was announced earlier in the year after NBA’s commissioner Adam Silver confirmed the North American basketball league would be moving its annual European fixture from London to the French capital.
The game, which will be presented by global pay-TV operator BeIN Sports, will see the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks tip-off at the AccorHotels Arena, an indoor sports stadium and concert hall, in front of a sold-out crowd.
As part of the NBA’s expanded FDJ deal, ParionsSport will also offer customers exclusive benefits throughout the NBA season, including access to NBA games in the US, as well as NBA merchandise and products.
The partnership is promoted in more than 27,000 retail locations in France as well as ParionsSport’s and the NBA’s digital platforms.
