Italian soccer giants AS Roma have signed a deal with social app Snapchat, which will see the Serie A club create a weekly show on the platform’s Discover page.
As part of the new partnership, the club’s fans will be provided with a range of innovative content, including exclusive player challenges, highlight reels and other content.
In 2017, Roma became the first Italian top flight team to use the Snapchat Spectacles smart-glasses feature to provide a player’s view. The club has also made use of the Lenses and Filters tools since opening a club account in 2015.
The arrangement will also see the Italian outfit set up a dedicated profile page, which will allow fans to access a range of content.
Francesco Calvo, the club’s chief revenue officer, said: “With this partnership, we have access to new tools that will allow us to deliver even more Roma content to our fans all over the world through the Snapchat platform.”
On the field, Roma – managed by Eusebio di Francesco – sit sixth in Serie A, two points behind arch rivals Lazio and 23 points above leaders Juventus.
