Data analytics and media company Sportradar has launched a new over-the-top (OTT) streaming service for Austrian digital and telecommunications company A1 Telekom.
A1now, A1’s new streaming service, will provide access to live and video-on-demand (VOD) content across sports, music, and entertainment, including the Austrian Bundesliga, the nation’s top-flight soccer competition.
The platform will also include lifestyle content from Red Bull, as well as coverage of esports competitions.
The move is a part of Sportradar’s longstanding partnership with A1, aimed at monetisation and increased engagement.
“We are proud to extend our existing long-standing partnership with A1,” said Rainer Geier, Sportradar’s managing director for OTT. “We put a lot of work into our next level OTT product that allows our clients to connect video and data and contracting partners like A1 and Borussia Dortmund endorses the value of that work.”

“We are continuously enhancing the content offering we put in front of our customers,” said Tanja Sourek, co-head of A1now TV.
“The launch of the A1now OTT platform is another important step for us in this direction. We look forward to creating new ways of engagement with this OTT product and Sportradar is a great partner for us in realising these ambitions.”
More than 25 partners have signed up to Sportradar’s video distribution platform in its first 18 months, including German soccer giants Borussia Dortmund, Deutsche Telekom, the Davis Cup and Fed Cup tennis tournaments, as well the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
