Gerard Pique’s Konami-powered esports tournament, eFootball.Pro League, has signed a deal with Catalan broadcaster TV3 to show the competition on the network’s newly created dedicated esports channel.
Esport3 will debut its coverage of the league with a clash between Barcelona – Pique’s own club – and Portuguese top flight side Boavista on Monday.
The channel will also broadcast a highlights programme, offering replays of the day’s other two matches.
TV3’s YouTube channel will then live stream of the second round of matches on 26th January.
The tournament, which announced its partnership with Konami in November 2017, also features Scottish giants Celtic, French clubs AS Monaco and Nantes, as well as German side Schalke 04.
The esports league, based on the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series, agreed a deal with sports data and integrity company Sportradar in early 2018 to become the league’s official international media rights distribution partner.
