Lions team up with PT SportSuite for digital content distribution
  • PT SportSuite gets access to Lions’ digital media archive and will provide OTT video distribution to the tour mobile app and website
  • Platform will also provide media portal for sponsors

The British and Irish Lions have partnered with PT SportSuite to provide media services for the rugby union team’s tour of South Africa in 2021.

The tie-up will see PT SportSuite establish a cloud-based media ecosystem that will enable the Lions to collect, manage and share their digital media. The platform will also enable the collection of media content from players and supporters.

In addition, PT SportSuite’s remit extends to opening up the team’s digital media archive, as well as providing over-the-top (OTT) video distribution to the tour mobile app and web platform.

PT SportSuite will also provide an official media portal that gives sponsors real-time access to exclusive Lions media.

As part of further efforts to create engagement, the Lions and PT SportSuite will give supporters the opportunity to submit their own media via a series of fan content challenges.
