Mobile technology giant Vodafone has signed a two-year deal to become the main club partner of Wasps rugby and netball teams.

The deal will see Vodafone’s branding appear on both the Premiership Rugby team’s shirts and the Netball Superleague side’s dresses.

Vodafone, which replaces car giant Land Rover from next season, will also strive to deliver 5G solutions at the Ricoh Arena, the home stadium to both teams, as well as third-tier English soccer side Coventry City.

Stuart Cain, managing director at Wasps, said: “The West Midlands is at the forefront of the UK’s 5G investment programme so it’s a major achievement for Wasps to secure a partnership with such a well-known global business that allows us to harness this technology.

“We look forward to announcing further plans along with the new shirts for the 2019/20 season in the near future.”


The Confederation of African Football (CAF), African soccer’s governing body, has sealed Yamaha as a major sponsor for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
